First thing’s first. Leaders are only as strong as their people. So take a look at the rest of the team. These angels hold this place together. They deserve the credit. And I’m nothing without them.

Now, I’m supposed to share my qualifications. But I’d rather tell you a bit about my journey. I spent the first five years of my career trying to “figure it out.” Searching for that opportunity that felt more like a vocation than a job. Corporate marketing definitely wasn’t it. B2B agency work came close but something was still missing. Though thrilling, franchise work – going to any length to get something off the ground and running – left me empty. And mission work in an underdeveloped country pulled at my heart strings but underutilized my communication skills.

Then, I stumbled across entrepreneurship and decided to change the narrative on how a marketing agency serviced an industry. Rather than fit one nonprofit client into a “pro bono” budget every year, what if an agency made nonprofits their number one client choice? Made them pay for their services and put some skin in the game?

That’s when Angel Oak Creative was born. I had finally found my calling. The rest is history. And I give all the glory to God for helping me figure it out.
