1. It’s tight knit and passionate.
We’ve never seen leaders more focused on creating a network of like-minded business people around one cause. Many Triangle B Corp leaders know each other and work together in some way to expand the movement in the Triangle. In 2016, they even brought the B Corp Champions Retreat to our area.
These leaders also show real emotion about serving their employees, customers and community. They’re passionate about the B Corp cause and love seeing their employees rally around it.
2. It’s innovative, growing and succeeding.
B Corps don’t focus just on profit, but on the triple bottom line of people, planet and profit. Creativity and innovation in the workplace results in happier employees, more satisfied customers, a cleaner earth and healthier profit. Decisions as simple as utilizing video conferencing to cut air or car travel to something as complex as developing new, greener solar energy technologies, can both be made with the triple bottom line in mind.
Angel Oak is one of 45 B Corps in North Carolina and one of 12 in Raleigh. There are 2,778 B Corps worldwide in 60 countries and 150 industries. That number continues to grow, and many companies also make it on the list of fastest growing privately held companies. So not only are B Corps helping improve life for their employees, customers and the planet, they also produce sound financial results for their stakeholders.
3. It needs you and you need it.
If your company is already concerned about its employees, customers and the environment, it’s a real possibility that you already qualify. The benefits of being a B Corp are huge and the process is relatively painless. We encourage you to explore whether joining this incredible movement is right for your company and would love to have you join some of the most innovative, passionate and successful companies in the Triangle and the world.
