People matter. So let me give my team all the credit. Because they deserve it and I’m nothing without them. I spent the first five years of my career searching for a vocation. From corporate PR and agency work to franchising restaurants and mission work overseas, something was still missing. Then I stumbled upon the nonprofit sector and the rest is history. Angel Oak Creative was born. And I give all the glory to God for helping me find my calling.

I’m the Twin Angel. I’ve been with Angel Oak Creative since the very beginning and it’s been my joy to witness its continued growth for the Kingdom. I’m blessed to love the work I do and privileged to journey alongside our incredible nonprofit community. My life story in a nutshell: NCSU grad, married to my third-grade sweetheart, mommy to three precious boys and puppy named Spirit, lover of Jesus and passionate about people, purpose, family, faith and the outdoors (especially the beach)!

I’ve been working in the PR and marketing world for 30 years, spending time at a number of large firms. But none of these experiences match the joy of serving those who serve others. I look at our work here at Angel Oak as an opportunity to honor the skills God has blessed us with by tackling the tough jobs for organizations that have audacious missions, humble budgets and limited manpower.

LAUREN WILLIAMS

I was born and raised in Virginia, but I made Raleigh home after attending NC State – Go Pack! Like many in the nonprofit world, I accidentally fell into development work and immediately realized this is what I was made for! I love getting granular with data, creating annual plans and developing strategic campaigns for missions that matter. When I’m not dreaming about nonprofits, you can find me with friends spending time at the beach, seeing live music or eating delicious food!

HANNAH JESSEN CONWAY

I’m a Carolina girl through and through. After graduating from UNC, I did the nonprofit thing for a while in both La Paz, Bolivia and Washington, DC before joining an agency in Raleigh. Little did I know someday I’d get to do marketing and nonprofit work together! At Angel Oak, nothing gets me jazzed up more than a good campaign strategy and compelling stories shared on relevant and meaningful channels. I’m also a proud teacher’s wife, rescue-pup mom, world traveler, bookworm and crazy Tar Heel fanatic..

I joined the angels in 2021 as an intern and the rest has been a dream come true! Four years later, I’m full of gratitude to still be championing the stories of people doing meaningful work and the lives they impact. With passions for education and ministry, nonprofit marketing is where it’s at!

I graduated from the Hussman School of Journalism at UNC Chapel Hill and recently married my college sweetheart. Outside the office, you can find me challenging his alma mater in the greatest rivalry in sports, reading on my back porch or trying out a new recipe on the grill! 

LOGAN SHEETZ

I’m a native of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, a certified coffee snob and lover of all things communication. After receiving both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Communication Studies and assistant teaching various Communication courses at the collegiate level, I adventured into nonprofit life. My work experience captures a wide range of ministry-related and programmatic roles all centered on serving others. Working with this team of Angels perfectly enmeshes my work experience, vocational passions and continued desire to do good work alongside those committed to serving others. In my free time, you can find me sipping a black coffee with my nose in a book at the NCMA.

EMILY WHITE

Art Director

Born and raised in Tennessee, in 2022 I transitioned to calling Raleigh my home! For 10+ years I’ve been invested in nonprofit organizations and have developed a deep love for the work they accomplish in their communities. With a diverse background of both studies and work in Psychology, Strategic Communications and Marketing, Angel Oak seamlessly ties together my love of nonprofits with my love of creating. In my free time, you can find me reading a good book, making something new, searching for the best restaurants and playing outside!

JORDAN ELMORE

Graphic Designer

I’m originally a New Yorker now calling Raleigh home! I graduated from High Point University with a degree in religion and, after being introduced to graphic design while living and working in Ecuador, received a second degree from the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham in Graphic and Web Design in 2018. I’m passionate about storytelling and serving people who are helping others and transforming their communities. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, playing basketball, working out and hanging out with my rescue cat, Malachi!

ALE SALAS

Client Success Coordinator

I was born and raised in a small town outside of Charlotte, North Carolina with roots in Costa Rica. During my final semester at UNC, I had the opportunity to intern with the Angels, which confirmed my passion for purpose-driven work. I graduated with a degree in Education and a minor in Advertising and Public Relations, and am passionate about combining the heart of nonprofits with the art of storytelling. Outside of work, you can find me spending quality time with friends, crafting, or treating myself to a scoop (or two) of Jeni’s Ice Cream!

KRISTIN BRADFORD

Graphic Designer

A North Carolina native, I moved to Raleigh in 2014 to join the NC State Wolfpack. After earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Media, I spent three years as a graphic designer and art director at a local tech startup. In 2025, I joined Angel Oak as a design contractor and officially became part of the team three months later! I’m incredibly grateful to work in a space where I can pursue my passion for design while making a positive impact in the community. When I’m not pushing pixels, you can find me battling new recipes in the kitchen, getting lost in sappy novels, or exploring new places with family and friends

NIKKI BURTON

Senior Client Success Executive 

I’m happy to call Burlington, North Carolina, home after living in Oakland and New York City. Each place taught me something, and I bring both East Coast hustle and West Coast creativity to my work.

I get the most energy from work that has a real purpose. If a project supports a true mission and helps people, I’m fully committed. I value strong relationships, careful planning, and always following through.

Outside of work, I’m a proud aunt to five nieces and nephews. I take that role seriously, with movie marathons, sleepovers, and competitive games of Uno and Jenga. I also enjoy journaling, creative projects, and noticing the small details others might miss.

PRETZEL

Team Mascot

Technically, I was born in West Virginia, but North Carolina has been my home since my mommy – Caitlin – claimed me as her own. Which means I get free range of the Angel Oak Creative offices whenever I want. Thankfully, I always have someone to play with during the day when she gets busy. I’m not a huge fan of long meetings, but I’ll usually pop my head in and say hi at the beginning to be sociable. I do love a good meet and greet, with scones from Yellow Dog Bakery.

ALEX SCHWINDT

Media Consultant

As a documentary filmmaker, writer and creative director, I love telling great stories and helping people and organizations express their own stories well. Over the past 20 years, I have had the chance to work as a creative director in places like San Francisco, Chicago, Kansas City and Miami. Five years ago, my wife, Lori, and I had the good fortune of making the Triangle our home — and we absolutely love it here!

I was born and raised in small-town North Carolina to a family of farmers, but that doesn’t make me a Tar Heel. I’m a proud graduate of NC State, and my Wolfpack pride runs deep. Though, nothing in this life matters more to me than God and my family. At my core, I’m a problem solver. I enjoy the challenge of developing beautiful websites and hope to make designing our client’s websites a simple, rewarding experience.
