This Ad Dared Me to #CareEnough
Breaking through the noise. Standing out. Going viral. That’s every marketer’s charge. Sometimes it’s the almighty dollar that moves the needle. And sometimes, it’s just pure luck.
But when emotion is the golden ticket that influences your behavior, those ads are the brilliant ones.
So, it should come as no surprise that when—amid the bombardment of Black Friday and Cyber Monday noise this past Thanksgiving weekend —an ad stopped me in my tracks.

Did you watch it? Get chills like I did? How about that music? I could listen to it all day and be inspired! This ad didn’t push a call to action. And no call to action means no action to measure. So, I’m not sure how the makers of this campaign will prove their value to Hallmark. But, more importantly, I don’t think that’s what Hallmark was after.
This ad, part of Hallmark’s #CareEnough Campaign, lifted my spirit and empowered me to believe that I could lift another’s. And that, my friends, is its brilliance.
Emotion is powerful. And that’s how this ad got me. I’m still thinking about it.
Do I care enough to:
– lend a hand and change a day
– give to a stranger and change an outlook
– help a friend
– lead by example
– listen
– spread love and change a heart
– spare the air
– show respect
– stand for something and change a mind
– say how I feel
– lift a spirit
– support a dream and change a life
