We’re celebrating the new year by highlighting the blogs you loved the most in 2018. If you haven’t read these blogs already, check them out!
We’re thrilled that three of the top five came from our People Matter series! It’s an honor to share stories of the nonprofit heroes of our community.
1. An Overdue Acknowledgment of Unsung Heroes
Chris Budnick, Executive Director at Healing Transitions, wrote this blog when we were highlighting Addiction Recovery during our People Matter series. He gave a shout out to all the volunteers who serve and advance their mission on a daily basis — the unsung heroes of our community.
2. Nonprofits Can Avoid Losing Donations Despite New Tax Law
Shifts in government can have tremendous impact on the nonprofit community. So we wanted to share our insight on how to cope. This year, we have even more information coming your way regarding tax laws and donors, so stay in the loop.
3. A Story of Healing and Transitions
Tracy Freeman, a supervisor and former program participant at Healing Transitions, shared her story of healing from addiction. It’s empowering, and it reminds us that there is always hope to be found. Worth the read!
4. A Picture into Homelessness
Another blog from our People Matter series, this time written while we were highlighting Poverty Alleviation. Katie Braam from Dorcas Ministries shared how easily and unexpectedly one could find himself or herself homeless.
At the end of the year, we shared our absolute favorite pieces of design work we did. Websites, mailers, rebrands, you name it. It’s always fun to look back and be proud of our work. More incredible work to come in 2019!
